Meet Philip Pattison
– Founder of Timberwolf Outdoor Living
For Phillip, building isn’t just a trade—it’s a passion. With years of hands-on experience as a Red Seal Carpenter, he has always believed in the power of quality craftsmanship to transform not just homes, but lives. Timberwolf Outdoor Living was born from his commitment to doing things the right way, every time—no shortcuts, no surprises, just exceptional results.
Out of Highschool Founder Philip Pattison went to the University of Lethbridge and got a Bachelors degree in Finance. He then moved on to be a financial advisor at a bank. After 5 years in the finance industry he realized that being at a desk wasn’t for him and he went to be a labourer at a construction company while he figured out what he wanted to do with his life. 15 years later he is still in construction and loves what he is doing. Prior to Timberwolf Outdoor Living he operated a general contracting company that built fences, decks, and did interior renovations. He always enjoyed the outdoor projects the most and decided to focus on them exclusively. He tried working with some other local fence builders at first that subcontracted their work out and quickly decided that model wasn't for him. Commissioned sales staff and paying contractors by the linear foot model led to cutting corners and sloppy work. As a Red Seal Journeyperson Carpenter he saw an opportunity in Calgary’s market for outdoor builders that weren't just handy people that had been taught to build a fence, but rather were experienced builders that enjoyed building them. He actively promotes and supports employees starting or continuing their apprenticeship and strongly believes that the formal training leads to much better, well rounded builders
